Text-to-speech facility added

odiogo-logoThis Blog has now added a text-to-speech service through Odiogo, allowing readers to actually listen to blog posts on the website, and even on iTunes (as well as iPods and iPhones) as a podcast.

While this is a very ‘fun’ feature for readers, it could be a very valuable tool for the visually impaired and can provide benefits to readers with learning disabilities like Dyslexia.

If you have used and had benefit from the service please leave a comment and let us know.

Interview – How Futurebuilders might help you?

Thanks to Paul Webster’s Watfordgap’s Travels Blog this podcast has been circulated of Jonathan Lewis, Chief Executive of Futurebuilders being interviewed by NAVCA’s Kevin Curley.

Jonathan answers questions on how Futurebuilders can help third sector organisations become ‘tender ready’ and win public contracts. In particular Jonathan explains that applicants should expect to hear an indicative response from Futurebuilders within a week of submission – a clear “No” or an “indicative Yes”. For those that survive the first week, then a final answer will be given in 6 weeks.

Also, radically, Futurebuilders are going to do-away with Application Forms!

Listen to the interview (or Right Click on the link to save it so you can listen to it on your MP3 player.) The file is in 8.3MB MP3 format.  The podcast runs for about 11 minutes and is hosted on Paul’s Blog.
